Access Security DVR from Behind ISA Server Over the Internet?

I m being able to access my DVR Cameras over the internet but through ISA Server I received an error "Cannot connect the server..."

Most Security DVR systems come with the software you need for this. Many allow you to directly connect to the DVR IP using the "DVR software" thus negating the need to setup IIS to connect to it. (You do have to "port forward" to the DVR at the router just use the ports listed in the DVR manual.)

If you want to use the IIS setup YOU have to install the supplied web pages (usually ASP pages) onto the IIS server and point the connection to the IP of the DVR unit. That usually is in the config setup for the ASP pages (in some cases that is just ONE page!) If your DVR unit did not supply web pages then you get to write them! That can be a real challenge.

Based on the information you have in your question, I don't know much else to tell you.

Selecting a CCTV system for home?

Im looking to buy a Color CCTV system for my home. 4 cameras, night vision (or IR) capabilites, DVR, etc.
I want something good for the money, but dont want to spend a lot.
One big point that I want to make is that I dont want that choppy video playback (slow FPS) that some stores use (you know the kind where the subject is standing in one spot and the next frame ihe is in another spot).
Please help me understand what I need and give any relevant info I may need.

I am thinking of getting a security surveillance camera it says it is windows vista compatible it will come with a card that I must insert into the PCI slot where is that. also another that i am looking says that a pc must have a dvr does anyone know if my pc have them things mentioned. ok, if you have a laptop: NO you don't have a PCI slot. if you have a desktop and you look at the back of the computer, and you see there is an empty area covered with a removable piece of metal, yes it can be installed there. The PCI slot is an empty white slot connector on the motherboard, really close to any of the back of the pc.

The DVR part is nothing but software and normally it comes in a disk with the card that you are going to install on the computer.

so the process is, install the software on the disk, then install the card and let windows recognize the card. Can I set up a network where I can watch what I record with DVR on another TV in my home?

I have Direct TV and only have DVR on one TV in my home. Can I set up a network of sorts to access what I record on DVR in other rooms of my home? I have Direct TV on all of the TV's in my home.

Directv is shortly (hopefully) coming out with what is known as MRV (multi-room viewing) which will do just that. Right now, it is just available in their cutting edge (CE) beta test program, which anyone is free to join. (though I warn you there is a lot to read).

In the early days, video from multiple security cameras were recorded using time-lapse VCRs and multiplexers. Due to recent advancements in recording technology, digital video recorders (DVRs) have started replacing many VCRs and multiplexers. DVR security camera systems record video on a hard drive-based medium, eliminating the need for a videotape. These sophisticated systems have the ability to manage multiple cameras as well as record and playback video locally or through the Internet.

We have Charter Cable and DVR. I can record my shows and it shows that they are recording, but I can not figure out how to watch them! Help! NOT good with technology lol.

home security, i want to install a dvr camera system, any suggestions?

i like for it to have night vision, and pretty good clarity, also be able to install it to my tv. oh yeah biggest thing be affordable.

when u say affordable, cheapest way is going pc base dvr. which is mostly used by contractors too. but they are thrash. won't last 2year without any problem. why? and if so bad why ppl use them?
pc are not made to be used 24/7 and also havin motherboard gives machine limited life. and why ppl use them? cuz they are dirt cheap !!
one more thing, night vision cameras which are called IR cameras, are not made for clarity. every camera have reason why they are made.
