When thinking security cameras brands play a big part and depending on where you go for advice then you will more than likely be steered in one direction or another. JVC is an excellent buying option when considering security cameras.

It's natural to look for the best initially just to see how much dent it will put in your budget yet more expensive doesn't necessarily equate to the best. You've got to see what your getting for your dollar and the JVC security camera is hard to beat on price, performance and features.

Again, before making a buying decision do your due diligence and figure out exactly what you need in a security camera and what areas of your property need coverage.

Things such as your property's blind spots, weatherproofing, areas where the camera is likely to be obtrusive and therefore open to vandalism, color or black and white and whether it needs to be wall mounted or fixed to a ceiling.

Then of course, check your budget and allow yourself to go over if need be. A security camera system can be a work in progress and you don't need to install a full suite of cameras straight away but you can prepare for them meantime.

JVC Security Camera Options

Let's take a look at some of the JVC security camera options:

- One of the latest in the JVC security camera line of cameras is the VN-V26U that is a very versatile camera that can be used at night as well as during the day and among its main selling points is its bi-direction audio as well as 30fps MPEG four video streams that help improve quality of the image and optimize bandwidth.

In fact, this JVC security camera incorporates most core JVC technologies including the quarter inch progressive scan CCD image.

- A good example of the JVC security camera is the VN-C655U Indoor/Outdoor PTZ Dome Network Camera that will cost you about one thousand eight hundred dollars and which uses NTSC signal as well as has 768x494 resolutions and provides images in color rather than in black and white.

This is in fact a wonderful JVC security camera that provides high performance on IP-Network and which has functions such as pan and tilt as well as zooms and which also comes with a web server (built-in), and in addition, it is also able to work by itself for many different surveillance needs.

Another wonderful offering as far as the JVC security camera goes is the JVC Everio GZ-MG77 that is very small and light in weight and it also has the ability to store as many as thirty-seven hours of video and in addition, it is also very easy to affect transfer of video to a personal computer in double quick time. It is also quite useful when shooting in low lighting conditions.

Things To Look For

However, before choosing a particular JVC security camera, you must think about which features are most necessary including whether it should be weatherproof and whether it is going to be used in places where vandalism is rampant and whether you need to see images in color or is black and white pictures sufficient for your needs. Other aspects that you need to check before buying your JVC security camera include whether to wall mount them or ceiling mount them and the particular lighting conditions where it is to be used.

This JVC security camera faces competition from the likes of Sony, Elmo and Canon that each have their own models that provide similar kind of features and functions though the JVC security camera stands out as being less expensive than the Sony models which cost more than double of its cost and more reliable than competing models being sold by Elmo and perhaps even Canon. Needless to say, the JVC security camera is well liked and readily available from all online stores as well as many photography retail outlets as well.

What's the best security camera: dome or PTZ?

I want to monitor the outside of my home, where there are regular car break-ins, and occasional robberies.

I have a T-shape to watch - driveway beside the house, and the street in front.

I can't decide between a single point-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera, or set of dome or bullet cameras. Any advice?

Hey

If you looking for a good PTZ camera I would Recommend Ascendnt.

They are a DVR and CCTV manufacture located in Canada they have great products and are about 35% cheaper then Bosch and Pelco while offering higher quality.

When you get into PTZ cameras you don't want to use non brand names as they having moving parts unlike fixed cameras.
